Easter is the most celebrated Christian day in the world, yet many people today still deny the basic biblical facts of the resurrection. Instead, they have chosen to believe a lie. Simply put, without the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, the death of Christ upon the cross for the remission of our sins would have been in vain.
Think of the power of that statement - Christ dying in vain! In essence, if He had not risen from the dead, He would have been no better than any other man who had ever died, no matter the reason. The fact is, that Jesus Christ successfully defeated death by rising from the dead on the third day. By doing so, He made a way for you and me to defeat it as well. The resurrection is our hope and confidence.
