We often read biographies of great people to learn the secrets of their lives. When we read the life of Jesus Christ in the four gospels, you immediately learn one of His greatest secrets. He prayed! And He prayed often! If the Son of God prayed, then we need to pray. If He needed time alone with God, we need time alone with God. Obviously, from studying His life, He believed in prayer. He believed it worked. He knew the effectiveness and power of prayer. He believed and acted on the confidence that God would hear and answer His prayers. As Christians, we too must have that same confidence. Then, when our prayers are being answered, it will only give us more confidence and boldness to pray for greater things.
